About Our Hospital
18.02.2026

Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital was planned within the framework of a collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Marmara University and was officially opened in Pendik on October 5, 2010. Since its establishment, our hospital has been positioned as a major healthcare center on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, providing high-quality healthcare services to the local community.

With its modern infrastructure, extensive outpatient clinic areas, strong academic staff, and advanced medical technologies, Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital quickly became one of the region’s leading referral hospitals. Over the years, it has increased its clinical capacity, launched new service units, and strengthened its intensive care bed capacity, evolving into a comprehensive healthcare hub.

In order to meet the growing demand for healthcare services and support the academic structure, an important complementary component of the hospital—Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital Prof. Dr. Asaf Ataseven Additional Service Building—was officially opened with all its units on June 20, 2020.

Following its opening, the additional service building soon gained the identity of a modern healthcare campus. In 2022, with the commissioning of operating rooms, the hospital’s clinical and surgical capacity was further expanded. As a result, both academic and medical service diversity increased, and the hospital further strengthened its integrated university-based training structure.

Today, Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital and the Prof. Dr. Asaf Ataseven Additional Service Building continue their operations as a strong and well-equipped healthcare campus, delivering contemporary healthcare services while also carrying out medical education and scientific research.
