How to Obtain a Health Tourism Certificate?
-The healthcare facility must have scored at least 85 points for its application.
-The applicant organization must have the license / operating permit certificate issued by the Ministry.
-Authorization Certificate Application Form
-Signature circular of the persons authorized to sign on behalf of the applicant organization (notarized).
-The healthcare facility must have an infrastructure through which the international health tourist can obtain information from the healthcare facility’s website about the professional background & histories of the doctor & doctors who will provide the treatment.
-The healthcare facility must have a communication and information transfer system through which the international health tourist can receive detailed information about their illness and learn the treatment plan from the doctor & doctors who will provide the treatment before arriving at the healthcare facility.
1.There must be an infrastructure enabling the international health tourist to deposit payments into the hospital’s account as a deposit before arriving at the healthcare facility.
2.Within the healthcare facility automation system, there must be the necessary infrastructure to perform all procedures to be carried out within the scope of international health tourism and tourist health services via the foreign patient module.
3.Together with the application, the healthcare facility must provide a written undertaking that it will fulfill the following matters. Whether these undertakings are fulfilled will be taken into consideration in all inspections to be conducted.
a)Information will be provided about all activities offered within the framework of healthcare services provided under international health tourism and tourist health, and the consent form prepared in the language of the international health tourist will be signed by the international health tourist and the doctor providing the healthcare service.
b)Patients’ clinical and laboratory findings, diagnosis of the disease, course, examinations performed, and information regarding the treatment & the result of the treatment, the discharge summary (epicrisis) given to the patient by the healthcare facility after treatment, what the patient must do after being discharged, will be prepared in the patient’s own language and delivered to the patient against signature.
