Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital was planned within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Marmara University and officially opened in Pendik on October 5, 2010. Since its establishment, our hospital has positioned itself as a significant healthcare center on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, providing comprehensive healthcare services to the region's population.
With its modern, spacious outpatient clinics, strong academic staff, and advanced technology treatment equipment, Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital quickly became one of the region's leading reference hospitals. Over the years, it has expanded its clinical units, opened new service units, and strengthened its intensive care bed capacity, transforming it into a comprehensive healthcare center.
To meet the growing needs of healthcare services and support the academic structure, the Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital Prof. Dr. Asaf Ataseven Annex Building, a significant complementary section of the hospital, was officially opened with all its units on June 20, 2020.
In the annex building, which quickly gained a modern healthcare facility status after its opening, the clinical operation capacity was further expanded in 2022 with the preparation of operating rooms for service. Thus, the diversity of both academic and medical services is increased; the hospital's integration with the university in education is further strengthened.
Today, Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital and Prof. Dr. Asaf Ataseven Annex Building operate as a strong and well-equipped healthcare cycle where contemporary healthcare services, medical education, and scientific research are conducted together.
