Tophane Clock Tower
It is a four-storey building with a clock section, gradually narrowing upwards. All four facades are designed identically. There is Abdülmecit's signature above the door on the sea-facing façade. Two Doric columns were placed in the corners on both sides of the high, circular arched door on each façade, independent of the façade. By the way, sphere-shaped stones are located in front of the doors.
There is a triglyph-metope band between the ground floor and the first floor. On the upper floor, Doric columns were replaced by pilasters in the Ionic order. Although the opening on the first floor is rectangular this time, there is a flat lintel with a flat arch with an empty mirror supported by consoles.
In the composition on the second floor, a semicircular arched opening is seen in the middle. In the corners, floral motifs are framed and evaluated. A thin console eaves separates this floor from the floor where the clocks are located. On the top floor, there are clocks placed in garlands and curved supports in the corners. In addition, sphere-shaped stones were placed in the corners in smaller sizes than those on the ground floor.
