Islands Museum

The Islands Museum, which was implemented within the scope of the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency projects, with the joint work of the Islands Foundation, Islands Municipality and Islands District Governorate, became fully operational on September 10, 2010. Istanbul's first contemporary city museum offers a different experience for visitors with its approach, content, presentation, spaces, layout and activities. The entrance animation, prepared as a result of studies on various maps and space photographs of the 9 Istanbul Islands, welcomes the visitors and provides basic urban information about the Islands. The Dunkleosteus armored fish replica, whose fossilized traces were found on the island rocks and is known to have lived in these seas 400 million years ago, is right in front of you.
